    Walking Trails (Hinton)
    There are many walking trails in the Hinton area. 17 km (11 mi) NE of Hinton along Emerson Creek Rd (gravel) is 1.5 km (1 mi) Canyon Creek Trail with canyon and plunging river scenery; and 40 km (24 mi) farther is the Wild Sculpture Trail with mysterious hoodoos and scenic lakes. 20 km (12 mi) north of Hinton on Hwy 40 is Athabasca Tower, a forestry lookout with a spectacular view of the Rockies.
