Marmot Basin offers downhill skiing, boarding and telemarking on uncrowded slopes
with varied terrain and spectacular scenery. 1675 acres of bowls, glades and groomed
runs are serviced by two quads (1 express), 1 triple and 3 double chairs, 1 T-bar,
1 platter and new magic carpet. Base and mid-mountain day lodges offer sun decks
and serve hearty food and refreshing drinks. Facilities include a snowboard park,
ski shop, rentals, ski school, mountain tours and a nursery. Shuttle service from
townsite hotels.

Guided trips for all ages and abilities. Challenge Run on class 3 Sunwapta (Stoney Indian meaning turbulent river) has steep gradient and technical rapids (4 hrs, 9:30 am and 1:30 pm, $99). Mile 5 Run (2 hrs, 9 am and 3 pm, $64, -13 $32) and Heritage Run (3 hrs, 11:30 am, $89, -13 $44.50) on class 2 Athabasca Canadian Heritage River has calm stretches and small lively rapids aboard 8 to 10 passenger paddle rafts. Rearguard Run on the class 3 Fraser has Mt Robson views and large, powerful rapids (5 hrs, 9:30 am, 1:30 pm, $99). Athabasca float and 2-day trips. Remote 3-day class 4 Kakwa trip.
