The Jasper Adventure Centre offers exciting dog sledding adventures that include transportation to an area west of Jasper Park, and includes hot apple cider and a pastry. The Ghosts of Coldfire Creek tour also includes a campfire lunch. Adventurers can choose to lead a team of dogs or opt for a local guide. There is one driver and one passenger per sled. Tours without Jasper shuttle are available.
One of Canada's oldest forms of transportation, dog sledding is an exhilarating way to traverse across the snow. Cold Fire Creek offers tours that journey along century old trap line trails on a two-person sled led by a team of eight beautiful, Alaskan huskies. Views of frozen waterwalls, snow-covered pine trees and majastic mountain panoramas are part and parcel of these tours. Trips range in price and length and could include lunch, bonfire, hot toddies and tapas. As dogsledding tours are not permitted in the park, tours depart from Valemount (120 kms from Jasper).
