Jasper Yellowhead Museum & Archives The permanent Historical Gallery displays the human and natural history of Jasper National Park. Outfitting, parks heritage and tourism are primary themes. Exhibits include guide Curly Phillips’ hand-built cedar strip canoe, beaded deerskin jacket worn by Metis rights advocate Suzette Swift and the ‘silver’ ice axe lost during the first ascent of Mt Alberta in 1925 and recovered in two pieces in 1948 and 1965. Art shows, family video area, book and gift shops, archives and meeting room. $4, $3 stu/sen, $10 families, free under 6 and members. Discount for groups 10+. Den Wildlife Museum 130 life-sized wildlife specimens mounted in
panoramic cases that resemble natural settings. Birds and animals, both large and small, from Western Canada and the Northern Territories have been assembled over 45 years by Canada's best taxidermists. $3, families $6.
