For Jasper, its scenery is its signature. Visitors come here for its mountains, not shopping malls, for its outdoor pursuits, not its cultural productions. Nevertheless, shopping in Jasper is not limited to camping supplies and cross-country skis (although such things are widely available). Even shoppers with designer tastes need not entirely rely on Jasper's nearest city—Edmonton—and its famous shopping destination—the West Edmonton Mall. From designer sunglasses to digital cameras, handmade moccasins to hiking boots, Jasper's small selection of shops aims to both purvey and please.
