Historical Lantern Tours + My Favorites Mar 14, Apr 17 Join the Friends of Jasper National Park for a new twist on one of their most popular programs - a lantern-lit historical walking tour around town. Take a step back in time and discover the characters that helped shape Jasper National Park and the mountain town of Jasper. Free tickets for this special Walk in the Past will be available from the Friends of jasper National park store (located in the Information Centre) beginning two days before the event. Register early as space is limited.
Full Moon Hikes + My Favorites Mar 30 Explore nature after dark with the Friends of Jasper National Park. A volunteer guide will bring you to one of their favourite places in the park to enjoy the night sky and the full moon. You’ll learn more about the starts nocturnal animals and things that go bump in the night while enjoying a moonlight hike. Free tickets for this special program will be available from the Friends of Jasper National park store (Located in the Information Centre) beginning two days before the event. The Yellowhead Rotary Arts Festival + My Favorites Apr 16 to Apr 30 The Yellowhead Rotary Arts Festival is celebrating it's 11th year and is currently accepting registrations for the 2010 Festival through their website, in person or through mail. Cut off is February 15th, 2010. Many volunteers are needed at each venue, and are typically asked to work for one morning, afternoon or evening of the festival. Itinerary for Saturday, September 19, 2009
10:00am Registration and Bike Round-Up
Registration is $50 per Motorcycle (includes one Poker Hand).
All entrants will meet in a designated area for registration and to collect their poker run passport. You may park your bikes in the registration area for everyone to enjoy.
12:00pm – 5:00pm Poker Run There will be 5 scenic stops in Jasper National Park where entrants will draw a card towards their 5 card poker hand. The cost is $50 per hand.
7:00pm Prizes A short ceremony of fabulous Prize giveaways for the best Poker Hands will be held. Location TBA.
Please note that the money raised will be going towards local Jasper charities.
