The Banff Jasper Relay is a scenic 258km road race run in 15 stages on highways from Banff to Jasper. The relay is a fundraiser for the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada.
The relay will consist of 2 phases run simultaneously:
• Phase 1 has 6 stages from Banff to Saskatchewan River Crossing.
• Phase 2 has 9 stages from Saskatchewan River Crossing to Jasper.
Team results are based on the cumulative times for both phases of the relay added together.

The Jasper Motorcyle Run is an annual organized ride through the beautiful Canadian Rockies and Jasper National Park.

Artists in the Pines is a fall weekend of workshops designed to foster anyone's muse in the Canadian Rockies! Weekend pass includes accommodation, meals & workshops (some additional materials fees apply), jam/improv sessions. If visitors can't join for the entire weekend, individual workshops are available.

Tessa Nunn - painting; Anna Carnell - stone mosaics; Beth Gignac - IMPROV; Ben Gadd - writing and Back Porch Swing - music/instruction and Julie McMath - pottery. Midday jam sessions, great food prepared by some of Jasper's top chefs, evening firepit sing-a-longs, Friday night with the Fiddle River Band...workshop numbers are kept low to ensure maximum exposure to these amazing instructors so sign up soon! The annual race is held at the end of September or in the beginning of October and consists of a 30-km (19-mi) bike ride to Athabasca Falls, followed by a 10-km (6-mi) road and trail run looping from the falls to Fryatt Creek and back.

The Jasper Root Romp is an annual 10-km (6-mi) trail race that is billed as one of the toughest in North America. The race starts in the town of Jasper at an elevation of 1,067 m (3,500 ft) and winds up scenic trails to include a net elevation change of almost 610 vertical m (2,000 ft). Participants can run, walk or hike the race that takes in mountain lakes, aspen groves and pine forests.

Every year, Jasper holds two Family Dances, each with a theme and decorations, crafts, activities and music. The dances are held at the Jasper Activity Centre Multipurpose Hall and families are encouraged to participate by dressing up and bringing a tray of finger food relevant to the theme.
